Let's Talk Festival Recap & Lookbooks

A BLOG ON A FRIDAY? Yes, a blog on a FRIDAY. I am finally into a routine that I am comfortable with. I started my two summer jobs that consume 99.9% of my time but it is totally worth every second of it. I am now working hard on being consistent and dedicated to this blog now that I found exactly the organizational and scheduling skills to make it happen!

Let's talk a look into my Neon Desert 2019 Recap. I'd like to start off by saying I have so much love for Neon Desert and have been going to it since I was a freshman in high school. I loved every second of this festival but per small request that they go ahead and move it back to its previous location. I think Neon Desert is such a fun environment where you have the opportunity to make new memories, friends, and so much more but it is supposed to happen in the heart of EP.

Jaylee flies to El Paso! We started off the day by shopping around El Paso and doing some sight seeing and of course making a very important coffee and donut stop. Unfortunately, I had to work one of my summer jobs that night but my family and Jaylee were able to go watch Avengers Endgame. After I got out of work, we drove over to Scenic Drive where the El Paso and Juarez, Mexico sights are the best! We did some late night driving around some historical areas and headed back home to rest because a very long day was ahead of us.

Breakfast is always first (or more like lunch since we woke up so late), we ate a quick meal before we started to get ready for the festival. Jams are always a necessity when getting ready which included but not limited to the acts we were going to see that night. We had our whole outfits and makeup looks planned out prior to the day and for me it was a little time consuming since it was my first time using the James Charles Palette. I will include a picture of the makeup and outfit look below:

The night was indescribable and I wish you were there to experience this with us. We saw a some amazing artists Saturday including: Shoreline Mafia, Tyga, Steve Aoki, Miguel, and Rezz. We also got to eat some pretty darn good pizza that I will forever remember for being extremely HOT. A big shoutout to Abe for being great that night and driving to and from the festival, you're awesome. We returned home at around one a.m. to prepare and rest for the second day of the festival.

Same incident as the day before, we slept until noon and decided we really needed some lunch, so we got up (basically roll and go) and went to eat. We shared memories and stories from the night before and really decided to be extra hydrated for the day. As we left Abe wanted us ready at 4:30 but it was already 1:30 and we needed to shower and of course take a nap. So at around 3 pm we decided to start our hair and makeup... yes we made it on time for Abe (barely). We decided today would be a lot more relaxed since there were fewer artists that we most definitely needed to see. The must-sees include: Gunna, Kali Uchis, Young Thug, Wiz Khalifa. This last day was filled with so much love and energy and was a great end to the weekend.

The festival was an entire experience in itself and was a great break between jobs and school. Every festival experience is different and mine was very unique and special to me. I am so happy that I was able to experience this with very close friends and I can't wait to hit up the next big festival!
