Let's Talk About A Week in My Life

O.K but I have been so eager to share a week in my life with you all. Yes, a crazy week it has been but that is how summer is supposed to go, am I right? Between traveling home and getting settled in my new mini apartment it has been super busy but life never stops moving. I just want to take a quick second to thank you all for all the positive feedback I have been receiving through this blog. It means the absolute world to me and I am so grateful for everyone who has taken a few moments out of their day to take a read!

This week I had traveled to Phoenix, Arizona and back for a trip that I have been anticipating since Christmas. At 8:30 am on May 14th we departed from El Paso to Phoenix to watch Ariana Grande Live at her Sweetener/Thank You, Next Tour. It was pretty much the best experience (besides One Direction in LA when I was like fifteen) especially since I was able to share this experience with my little sister. Seeing not only Ariana Grande but Social House and Normani was quite amazing and I can speak for my little sister and I when I say we are so grateful for our parents for making all of this happen.

Throughout the week I have really dedicated my time to my family and friends and it has really made coming home very special. It has been a whole five months and it is crazy to see how much has changed. Even though I've been gone for some time El Paso still amazes me with its beauty and every time I leave I appreciate it a whole lot more. What's my favorite part you may ask? The mountains, its different from seeing them everyday to them just being gone and yes I live in hill country but there nothing like THE Franklin Mountains.

I have been spoiled with all my favorite home-cooked meals and trust me when I say you can try your hardest to make your favorite meal but it will never taste the way it does when it comes straight from home. This past semester I learned so much about cooking and the right way to eat when you're in college on a budget but there is so much I need to learn before I head back. Food is my favorite part of adulting, I love learning new recipes, trying new things, and learning how to recover from something that I have burned in the kitchen. This past week I added a few more ideas on food to my list of "college necessities" and I am so excited to try them.

One of the best parts about having a break from school and working is the beauty of sleeping in. Oh, how I have missed her. While I am at school I'm either up super early for classes, work, or my organization that I forgot what it was like and catching up on my sleep has really been such a positive aspect for my mental and physical health. I am less stressed, bothered, and can be extra productive throughout my day. Unfortunately, my sleeping in is coming to an end this coming week because yes I start working my two summer jobs again. Am I ready? Yes. Am I excited? Yes. Why? I work at the best two jobs ever and I miss all my amazing co-workers and have not seen the in forever. So let's get this summer bread, shall we?

Hitting the stores with my momma have been great. Seeing the new trends, what's in and what's not and figuring our my festival outfits has been so much fun. This coming weekend is El Paso's Neon Desert Music Festival and will I be there? Of course and one of my best friends is coming all the way from her hometown to attend with me! I have been working so hard on a lookbook and cannot wait to see the crazy ideas I have come to life. Let me give you a little hint, bright is right so which colors will we be bringing to light? Stay tuned and find out. Makeup is inspiring and along with outfits it is important to plan the colors you are using so you are not in a state of panic when your ride shows up in your driveway ready to hit the road (I speak from experience). I have decided to step outside of my comfort zone and I might even surprise myself on what will be the final look.

I have conquered this week but there is still so much to look forward to this summer. Taking a vacation with my friends to California, going to Neon Desert, and so much more that I cannot wait to experience. It is all very busy but worth it 110%, we are only in this moment once so why not make the very best of it. Here is to summer 2019! Until next time!
